LMX2592: LMX2592

Part Number: LMX2592

We've been using the LMX2592 Synthesizer for several years. Looking at the RF power output in detail, we see shifts in the output at ~1200MHz to 1700MHZ & 3400MHZ. We assume this is due to different internal VCOs being used. I have a spreadsheeet showing this if it would be hopeful to you to understand what we're seeing. Issue is, we've try to set the power output levels dynamically to create a flat output power, but it doesn't look possible due to the radical power ranges at different frequencies.

Is the behavior normal?

  • Hi Bob,

Your data does not look right, especially the power drop at 1.2G to 1.7GHz region.

Datasheet has the power vs freq plot, which shown no sudden variation in power during VCO or divider transition.

I verified this in the lab, I don't see the power drop at 1.2GHz to 1.7GHz region, I don't see the power jump around 3.55GHz where we are transitioning from divided down output to direct VCO output.
