LMK00105: max VDDO output current

Part Number: LMK00105

Hi Expert,

my customer is using LMK00105, the output current for VDDO in D/S 3.3V supply is typ 7 mA. do we have any max limitation, the application shown as below will reach to 35mA for each output.

in other E2E list, I see that if we don't have max or min value in the datasheet, it means we don't measure the limitation, so only show typical value as customer's reference. is it also could be used here? thansk.

  • Hi Chi,

This is an LVCMOS output. Usually LVCMOS receivers are high impedance so that’s why you are seeing those current values in the datasheet.

I don’t see a abs max spec for this part on current but you can drive a 50 ohm to ground which results in 33mA of current similar to you.

Problem with driving 50 ohm load or one listed in your diagram on each output that it would result in excessive current through the IC. At that point you have to worry about the junction temperature of the IC because it could result in reliability issues.
