Hi,
I am using the LMK03318 IBIS for a clock simulation. I am using a simple AC-Coupling way to connect the LMK03318 output to my controller. It has a 1.2V bias Vcm on the controller side.
In the LMK03318 data sheet. The differential output peak-to-peak swing shall be between 500mV to 900mV. So I think the input of my controller side shall be 500mV to 900mV too with 1.2V DC bias.
But the simulation results on the controller side is shown in next figure. The differential swing is 1.4V. The DC bias is not 1.2V. The controller IBIS model input is set to LVDS without 100ohm internal termination. But if I set the input to LVDS with 100ohm internal termination. The differential swing is 550mV without 1.2V DC bias as shown in the third figure. It still not be right.
What’s wrong in my simulation. Do I misunderstand something? If I am wrong. what the LVDS signal shall I see on the LMK03318 and controller side.
Regards,
Shu
