Hello,

I'm comparing CDCS503 vs CDCS504Q1, specifically looking at cycle to cycle jitter. The 503 is spec'd at 110ps at 108MHz, and the 504 is 144ps at 11.264MHz. Because of the different test frequencies, I'm not sure how comparable these numbers truly are. Is CDCS503 going to be better across all frequencies?

Michael,

The cycle-to-cycle jitter will differ depending on the test frequency. We cannot strictly say that, under all cases, the CDCS503 has better performance than the CDCS504-Q1.

Thanks Kadeem. Do we have any jitter data at 49MHz out? Do you think it's safe to say CDCS503 would be better at that frequency?

Michael,

We do not. As the jitter generally decreases with increasing carrier frequency, I cannot say for certain which has better performance over the other. The 503 I expect to have higher jitter at 49 MHz, and the 504 lower jitter, but cannot say for certain which would be larger. I do not expect that they will be that far off from each other.
