LMX2582EVM: Wrong frequency output sometimes

Tool/software:

I have set this evaluation board to output frequency of 1045 MHz. When I load this frequency, sometimes it is fine and outputs 1044/1045 MHz. However, other times when I reloaded the frequency, I get 1053 MHz. I am not sure why this is happening. Does that mean the board may be damaged, some grounding issues, etc. Has anyone experienced this before?

Hi David,

If you program it to lock to 1045MHz, it should either lock to 1045MHz or it should unlock. When it is unlock, the frequency would not be 1044MHz.

Since you are using EVM with TICS Pro, could you make it lock at the default configuration?

Well, sometimes it is at that frequency. However, sometimes when I reload the frequency a few times and it can move to like 1053 MHz, i.e. moves in frequency a few MHz. It can stay quite stable at both for a long time, i.e. I have not seen it change by itself without me having to reload the frequency.

Hi David,

Default EVM configuration output is 1.8GHz, are you able to make it lock at this frequency?
