LMX2571: Can LMX2571 be used as an FM transmitter?

HI TI Team,

I have a query regarding LMX2571.

Can the chip be used as an FM transmitter? We were having an FM transceiver solution before, but FM transceiver solutions are not available anymore.

We are trying to use an FM transmitter and receiver in combination to design a transceiver solution. We are looking at the feasibility of LMX2571.

Would you be having any example schematics of an FM transmitter solution with LMX2571? Any help is appreciated.

    Hi Remo,

    If you are saying feeding an analog audio signal to FM modulate the internal VCO of LMX2571, unfortunately, the chip is not design to support this operation. However, you can do this with an external VCO as long as the VCO frequency is 100MHz or above. If the VCO frequency is below 100MHz, suggest use LMX2485E.
