Hello,

I want to use the CDCS503 as a clock multiplier in my circuit.

From the datasheet, the minimum clock input frequency is 8MHz.

I would like to drive a CMOS clock input at 5MHz frequency, will the decive work properly?

Generally, can one exceed the 8MHz-27MHz input frequency range (lower frequencies) under a condition of high enough slew rate?

Ziv,

The CDCE913 is not a strict clock multiplier, and as a result some configuration is required.

By the way, according to the CDCE913 datasheet the clock input frequency range is 8MHz-32MHz too, i.e. the minimum input clock frequency is 8MHz too.

Can the CDCE913 a 5MHz input clock signal?
