CDC Programming EVM installation issue

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CDCEL937, CDCE937

Hi,

I am trying to use TI CDC Programming EVM (v1.1) to program a CDCEL937 chip.
I have tried the following:

1. Install TI Clock Pro (scac119d.exe) on Win7-64bit. This fails because Windows complains that the USB driver (TI3410)  is not digitally signed.

2. I installed TI Clock Pro (scac119d.exe) on WinXP. This time it apparently succeeds. Because Windows doesn't complain, but when I run Clock Pro, it cannot communicate with the device (The Green LED icon in the software panel does not light up.) The Red power supply LEDs on EVM shows it's powered on. But reading and writing the device cannot be done. (When reading the device, it says "Device cannot be detected").

I have followed all the help files I could find on TI.com.
Has anyone had success with EVM and/or CDCE937?
Please someone respond to this post (either positively or negatively).

Thanks.

  • Hello Saied,

the programming EVM will be only recognized by the "programming Tool" of the software. see the last post from this thread: http://e2e.ti.com/support/clocks/f/48/t/305437.aspx

here is a suggestion how to install the drivers on Win7x64 (last post): http://e2e.ti.com/support/clocks/f/48/p/317745/1114468.aspx#1114468

    Best regards,
