Clock generator selection

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMK02002, CLOCKDESIGNTOOL

Hello,

My customer wants to generate 1MHz clock by source 1kHz clock.

Which should I select the device in TI's products.

There is no limit of operating voltage.

Naoki Aoyama

  • How about LMK02002 with external VCXO?  Due to low Ref input frequency, they need to use narrow loop BW so VCXO based PLL is better than on-chip VCO in terms of performance.

The external VCXO module can be a low cost 10 MHZ device, which can be divided down by 10 to achieve the 1 MHZ output.  You can use CLOCKDESIGNTOOL for designing the PLL dividers and loop filter values.

  • Hi Alan

Thank you for your very fast response.

I'm sorry but my customer wants to get a clock 1000 times.

A sensor output signal is 1kHz pulse. He multiply that signal and get a 1MHz clock.

So I search the device that Fin:1kHz and Fout:1MHz synthesizer.

    Regards,
