I have lodged a service request with TI teschnical support but they have not been able to resolve my query:
[Problem: We use bq4845YS-A4N ICs in production for several years. We need to re-submit our product for safety evaluation. Unfortunately, I was not able to find the current UL file that lists this IC as being evaluated by UL for safety of interfacing with primary batteries (limiting charging current). The only reference I has found so far is "...Since the bq4845 provides for reverse battery charging protection, no diode or current limiting resistor is needed in series with the cell..." May I ask you please to provide either:
1. UL file number for this IC listing, if it exists (it used to be ULNWGQ2.E134016 file).
or
2. A document (e.g. excerpt from its internal schematic or a Test Report, etc.) that may support the quoted sentence form the datasheet.
