Clock jitter cleaner products

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMK04906, LMK04002, LMK03200

Hi,

I would like to ask you to give me your adivce about "jitter cleaner".

My customer has a problem with jitter of clock signal.

Could you recommend jitter cleaner device to meet following speifications?

 - Input frequency : 100MHz - 200MHz, over 1ch

 - Output frequency : 50MHz - 100MHz, over 1ch

 - The jitter performance of output is to meet the specification of "FPGA(AIRTIX7) GTP clock".

 - Signal level : Any is OK.

 - The input signal changes linearly and the output signal has to follow the change.

I suppose the following devices are candidate.

That is to say, LMK03200, LMK04002, LMK04906.

Would you give me your idea about the devices and I am very glad if you tell me your recommend devices.

Thank you for your support.

Best Regards,

  • Hello Takumi-san,
you picked already a good selection of potential devices. LMK04906 is a dual loop jitter cleaner and will allow the customer to optimize bandwidths for cleaning and for clock generation to meet the target specs.
How much jitter does the customer currently see on the reference clock? When your customer only needs a single clock cleaned and the the jitter is not excessive, we can try to use a smaller clock generator and reduce bandwidth to remove jitter.

    Best regards,
    Patrick
  • Hi Patrick-san,

    Thank you for your reply!

I will propose LMK04906 to the customer.

The total channels the customer needs are around 3 or 4, not single, sorry.

    Best Regards,
