LMX2582EVM Output have harmonics at the same power level as the Fo.

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMX2582EVM

Hi I'm evaluating the LMX2582EVM board loaded with the default setting and getting the 1800MHz output.

!) I am also geting the harmonics of that frequencies which I didn't expect. is there any setting that can filter the harmonics of that frequncy?

2) question 2 is, every time the board powered down and turned on I have to reload the configuration. when powered down the device

does not retain the setting (volatile memory). is there any way to retain the configaration content in the device at power down?

Thanks

Pat

  • Hi Pat,

    1) Are you using the on-board XO? Can you provide screenshots of the spurs? Are you using a spectrum or phase noise analyzer?
Also, please export the register settings and attach them.

    2) There is no way to retain the configuration when the device is powered down. The device has to be programmed every time you apply power. It shouldn't be an issue to re-program on the EVM board.
On your solution we recommend a low cost MCU. The device is programmed via SPI.

    Thanks,
    Julian
