What would happen if the CDC341 lost Vcc yet still had 5V at A due to another independent source. 1G and 2G are tied to Vcc (i.e., both would have been pulled up).
There looks to be an input clamp current rating, so we are likely dealing with ESD diodes tied to Vcc? Could the CDC341 bias itself on via the A pin through the ESD diodes to Vcc, and would the IC actually try to work? Extending that further, if current makes it out to Vcc, would the part power up, or attempt to power up everything hanging off Vcc? Are there any internal resistances that would limit the ESD diode current?
