CDCVF2510A: Cycle to Cycle Jitter value @ 25MHz

Part Number: CDCVF2510A

Dear TI-er

The cycle to cycle jitter  value  @ 25MHz is max 500ps @(25MHz to 40MHz) in the datasheet. (Max 125ps @(60MHz to 175MHz))

Pericom PI6C2510-133LEX value is ±75ps @133Mhz.

What is different from the value ?

  • Kiyoung Son,

we specify a max cycle to cycle value for a specific frequency range. Others specify a max cycle to cycle value just for a specific frequency. The cycle to cycle jitter performance depends on the frequency you set. In the CDCVF2510A datasheet Figure 8 you can see the cycle to cycle characteristic vs frequency if you just interested for a specific frequency.

  • I want know cycle to cycle value @ 25MHz.
The cycle to cycle jitter value @ 25MHz is max 500ps
    Is 500ps same ±250ps ?
    plz help me.

  • Is 500ps same ±250ps ?
A: No, this is ±500ps cycle to cycle jitter
(Does this fit in your application? If not, what are your fix requirements beside of 25MHz?) (25MHz is for the CDCVF2510A a suboptimal frequency in terms of jitter. It is designed for particular PC133 specification)
