LMX2485E: EVM needed

Hello

My customer intend to use LMX2485E for their FY2018 model.

He want to start design soon.

However,we are confused for some lack of evaluation borad.

Would you please advise below?

 

Q1 Customer need EVM for LMX2485E , but my understanding below correct? Would you please give me your opinion?

 

Not LMX2485E, but  LMX2487E-EVM is active ($249-) and LMX2487E is mounted.  (LMX2485E-EVM is not available)

So, customer should buy LMX2485E samples and remove LMX2487E from PCB and mound LMX2485E  (pin to pin compatible) .  

( Also external components shoukd be changed for LMX2485E.)

Is above correct? Any other idea?

Q2  USB2UWIRE-IFACE  seems Obsolete.  But would you please adivise alternative solition?

    We have no LMX2485E EVM, but are in the process of getting the files approved for production.
    We have LMX2487E-EVM though. With this board, it does work with the USB2ANY board, but it just requies a converter board.

    The USB2ANY can not control the CE pin, but this can be pulled high with a pull-up resistor.

    I have re-designed the LMX2485E-EVM and LMX2487E-EVM not need the USB2ANY and fixed some other things , but it is in the process of being approved so we can produce it. I can't commit to a date as there are others invovled in the process, but I would estimate mid-october.

    But you can order the LMX2487E-EVM now and use the converter board.

    Is my understanding correct?

     

    1) Adapter card ( Appendix D on page 36  snau137a) is included if I bought LMX2487E EVM?

    3) Anyway, where can I buy USB2ANY?

     

    Without EVM, customer can not proceed design of LMX2485E for 2018 model, so would you please help us?

    If you think I should  ask local TI sales, please advise.
