CDCLVD1216: CDCLVD1216

Part Number: CDCLVD1216

 Dear Sir,

We need to distribute 2 signals (2-5KHz and reset(DC) ) into 90 signals each.We identified part CDCLVD1216 to use in two levels.Please confirm whether the part is suitable for this application.Also suggest if any other better part can be used.

    Hi Amrita,

    CDCLVD1216 will output a differential LVDS clock signal. If you need clock signals of this format, CDCLVD1216 is suitable. Is the 2-5kHz signal also LVDS?

    I recommend you use a logic buffer to distribute the reset signal. You can browse all of our logic buffers here: www.ti.com/.../products.html

    Hi Lane,
    Yes signals 2-5KHz is LVDS.Reset signal also I need to send out as LVDS only.If I am using logic buffers than again I need to use LVDS drivers.So I am planning to use same IC for reset signal distribution also.Please suggest.

    Hi Amrita,

    Thanks for the information. CDCLVD1216 will work for this application, and you do not have to use a logic buffer, but It is important to connect the Reset input signal to the CDCLVD1216 input pair properly. If the input reset signal is single-ended, you will need to provide the threshold voltage on INNx.
