CDCLVD2102: Can CDCLVD2102 accept differential AC or DC coupled CML inputs?

Part Number: CDCLVD2102

Hi,

The CDCLVD2102 datasheet specifies 'universal' inputs can accept LVDS, LVPECL, or LVCMOS. Can the inputs accept DC or AC coupled CML provided the CML driver differential swing and common mode voltage (for DC coupled case) are within the specifications of the CDCLVD2102 differential inputs (spec says it accepts swing 0.3V to 1.6V Pk-Pk and CM of 1 to VCC-0.3)? If so, can you explain if any special certain input network is necessary, and if not can you please explain why not?

Thanks!
