LMX2572EVM: LMX2572EVM Frequency Drift

Part Number: LMX2572EVM

Hi.  I noticed that my 3 GHz carrier is neither 3 GHz nor locked on frequency when using the LMX2572EVM.  Is this normal? I see the carrier at 2.7xxx GHz and drifting fairly significantly. Did I miss something about the configuration/calibration that I should try?   Should I really be using an external reference instead?

    In TICSPro, I would first load the defaut mode and load this. it should lock to the proper frequency. But if not, it should track the input reference. I would make sure that this input refernece is hooked up correctly and there is not some issue here.

    Also, have you verified programming. If you click the POWERDOWN bit under user controls, does the current drop as expected?
