CDCI6214: How to generate eeprom image file (.hxt) with Tics pro software for the CDCI6214

Hi,

I would like to generate an eeprom image file with TICS pro which I can use for direct programming (eeprom direct access flow in the datasheet) of the eeprom of the CDCI6214. 

I cannot find this option in the TICS PRO software.

    Hello Guido,

    Do you have an EVM? If you do a register commit to the two pages, then do a readback of the eeprom, you will have this file.

    At this moment the CDCI6214 software doesn't have the ability to generate the EEPROM image file without being connected to a board. However we will be updating/simplifying the CDCI6214 TICS Pro profile and this feature will be included. If you don't have an EVM, what sort of timeline are you looking for this functionality in?

    Thank you for your answer.

    We do not have an EVM but we can perform the procedure you explained on our target board with the CDCI6214.

    However it would be nice, if the TICS Pro software would have the feature to compose the eeprom image out of two setting files, because in the case of just some small changes in the settings, this procedure is time consuming, if we want to roll out the EEPROM settings file to the factory.
