My customer would like to know more about LinCMOS process technology.

What are the differences between LinCMOS process technology and just CMOS process technology?

With respect to TLC555QDRQ1, what is the benefit of LinCMOS compared to just CMOS?

Kazuhiko-san,

There is more than one CMOS process and each has to have its own names. The TLC555 was designed with the best process for this device at that time.

Thank you for your response, but my customer still does not understand what the LinCOMS is.
Though you mentioned LinCMOS was the best at that time, how was LinCMOS the best specifically?
What makes LinCMOS different from others?
Does it include some bipolar process like BiCMOS?
By adopting LinCMOS for TLC555, what kind of benefits did it have?
Could you provide more specific answers, please?

The specifics of this process is proprietary so I can't divulge them. In addition to that, I don't know the specifics of this process.
If I knew why this matters, then I might be able to address this in a different way.
