My customer has not been able to get the CDCE706 USB EVM to work: https://e2e.ti.com/support/clock-and-timing/f/48/p/789126/2931472#2931472
They are now trying CDCE906-706PROGEVM one, and it seems it too does not work:
I received the parallel EVM late yesterday, so I spent today getting things set up. Unfortunately, still no luck. The software will not wiggle the I2C bus on the EVM and consequently cannot program the part. I did run a parallel port test program and was able to wiggle bits on the port to verify the physical port and cable were functional. I’m not sure what version of software is supposed to be used with the parallel EVM. The two versions I started with seem to only work with the USB EVM. However, I did find and try the old version 1.05 that I used back in 2006. It looks like this:
I was able to generate the configuration file with the above program but it could not communicate with the printer port. I don’t know if it was supposed to work in Windows7, but it is not working for me.
Please escalate internally to help close this issue.
