LMK04906: About the Tpd of LMK04906 0-Delay Mode.

Part Number: LMK04906

According datasheet (Page 9):

If want a truely zeor-delay between CLKin and CLKout, I should adjust feedback clock digital delay. Under condition of VCO Freq=2949.12MHZ, feedback clock digital delay=10.5VCOClks, Output clock digital delay=5VCOClks.

My question is if VCO Freq=2400MHz(for my application), how to setting feedback clock and output clock digital delay for 0 ps Tpd?

I cann't found further information about how to implement  0-ps Tpd.

Is there someone can help me, thanks.

  • Hi There,

The primary goal of 0-delay mode is to maintain a fix delay between CLKin and CLKout. That is, the delay is not zero but is a deterministic value.

To further reduce this deterministic amount of delay, we can enable digital delay. The amount of digital delay depends on the LMK device's configuration, so this is something you have to figure out in your board.
