LMX2594: Noise power degradation

Hi Team,

TIDA-01346 uses two lmx2594 boards. The output signal improves because the output power is improved by 6dB and the noise power is deteriorated by 3dB.  Customer would like to know how this came to a conclusion? Could you share a derivation formula?

    Hello,

    The basic theory behind combining signals for better noise is the noise is uncorrelated and the signal is correlated. The uncorrelated noise adds in RMS fashion while the signal directly adds when two signals are in phase.
