LMX2572EVM: Phase shift management on the different outputs

Hi,

I'm currently having in test an LMX2572EVM Board, purpose of this test is to try to get 4 different phase shift on the 4 output of the board (RFoutAP, RFoutAM, RFoutBM, RFoutBP)

What i'm currently getting is always the same phase shift on RFoutAP and RFoutBP, and 2 different phase shift on the 2 others output.

My question is, is it possible to manage the phase shift on the 4 outputs independently, is it just something that is not program on TICS pro software and can be done on another way ? Maybe with the registers tool ?

Hello Jean,

Although there are 4 output pins, these are meant to be two differential pair outputs. You will not be able to adjust the phase between the RFoutAP and RFoutAM.

Then, if i'm correct, their should be a way to adjust the phase between RFoutAP/AM and RFoutBP/BM ?

Hello Jean,

You cannot adjust the phase between the two outputs, however you can adjust the phase of the output with respect to the input. Please refer to "7.3.12 Phase Adjustment" section in the datasheet. "7.3.11 Phase Synchronization" may also be of interest.
