LMK04610: LMK04610 and LVDS common mode

Part Number: LMK04610
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CDCLVD1208

Hi,

In Sysref output mode, to you have any recommandation to drive LVDS input with proper common mode ?

Regards,

  • Hi Mickael,

Typically for LVDS input, we recommend AC-coupling to the receiver. Many SYSREF receivers have the capability to ignore the SYSREF signal, so in theory you could generate more SYSREF pulses than necessary and only turn the receiver on for a subset of those pulses. You could also use the LMK04610 global continuous SYSREF bit to establish the appropriate levels on the SYSREF input before enabling the receiver.

Another option is to use some universal input to LVDS output buffer like the CDCLVD1208, which has some input hysteresis to allow AC-coupling of low-frequency signals.

    Regards,
