TPL5010-Q1: Power up behavior

Part Number: TPL5010-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPL5010

Dear Team,

I would like to understand the power up behavior in more detail.

I set the intervall timer with a 500 R resistor to tip = 100ms. My questions:

a) After which time does the RSTn signal appear after power up?

a) After which time does the first WAKE signal appear after power up?

b) Needs the TPL5010 before the first WAKE signal a DONE signal from the connected µC (very importend question for me)

or starts the TPL5010 with a WAKE signal without a DONE signal after power up?

Best regards

Wolfgang

  • Hi Wolfgang,

My coworker will get back to you tomorrow.

    Regards,
    Hao

  • One additional remark to question a)

To prevent a misunderstanding: After which time does the RSTn signal goes to high after power up.

  • Hi Wolfgang,

Q1) After which time does the RSTn signal appear after power up?

A1) After powerup, RSTn appears after t_R_EXT + t_RSTn, or about 420ms. See datasheet Figure 1

Q2) After which time does the first WAKE signal appear after power up?

A2) If a valid DONE rising edge is received within the first t_IP after power-up, the wake signal will appear after t_R_EXT + t_RSTn + t_IP.

Q3) Needs the TPL5010 before the first WAKE signal a DONE signal from the connected µC (very importend question for me). Or starts the TPL5010 with a WAKE signal without a DONE signal after power up

A3) Yes, DONE input is needed before the first WAKE pulse. See datasheet Figure 1

    Kind regards,
    Lane
