LMX2615EVM-CVAL: EVM Operating Temp Range

Part Number: LMX2615EVM-CVAL
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMX2615-SP,

Hi Team,

Our customer is trying to evaluate LMX2615-SP using LMX2615EVM-CVAL. While the IC has a wide operating range and can withstand up to 125°C, the plastic components and jumpers as well as the ribbon cable that connects to the interface board may not withstand 125°C. In this case what would be the max temp range for the EVM?  Is there any other way to interface to the board other than with the ribbon cable and TI interface board to try maximizing the EVM temp range?

Thanks in advance!

Kind Regards,

Jejomar

  • Hi Jejomar,

we haven't done that but you can check the specification of the components we used in the EVM to verify their operation temperature. You can find their part number in the BOM section of the EVM user's guide. My guess is not all of them can support 125C.

You may need to replace the ribbon cable with copper wires, remove the plastic enclosure of the uWIRE socket, etc.
