TPL5111: Power on Reset Voltage

Part Number: TPL5111

Hi,

My customer evaluates the TPL5111 and concerns the timing of the released power-on reset.

What VIN voltage is released POR?

Best Regards,

Kuramochi

  • Hello Kuramochi,

POR is nominally triggered by the VDD voltage rising above about 1.5V, but there is variation due to process and temperature so the number could be higher or lower by some amount. There is no undervoltage lockout, but internal logic will not necessarily work correctly at voltages below the POR trigger. Consequently, POR condition is released after a certain amount of time, typically around 250µs (varies based on initial oscillator stability during startup). There is no explicit VIN voltage at which POR is released.

    Regards,
