LMK03328: register indication if clock at PRIREF?

Hello Team,

The LMK03328 can automatically switch between 2 reference inputs. In the application only the SECREF input is used (single ended, 100MHz crystal)

Is it possible to detect whether a valid level is present at the PRIREF input? Automatic switching to the PRIREF input is not necessary, I just want to know if there is a signal at PRIREF. Is it possible to see this in a register?

Thanks and Best Regards,

Hans

  • Hi Hans,

You can read the status from the status pin. Will that work for you? For example, in below snapshot, Status 0 pin is active low and PRIREF LOS is short for Loss of PRIREF. So when the PRIREF is invalid, this status is active and the output level will be low. If PRIREF is valid, then the output voltage will be high.

I don't think there's a status register for this though. LMK05318B has status registers for pretty much everything, including the reference validness, if that's something that you're interested in.

    Regards,
    Hao
