LMK04826BEVM: can we use 5V for pin 36 (VCC6_PLL1)?

hi team,

the customer wants to use PLL1 to drive a 5V OCXO. can you please provide the technical reason why they cannot use 5V for the pin 36?

Hi Kevin,

The LMK04826 internal circuitry is designed to operate from 3.3V. Applying 5V to pin 36 will damage the device.

In cases where the control voltage of the PLL1 oscillator is >3.3V, TI recommends using an active filter as a level-shifter.
