CDCE925: Recommended device

Hi team,

My customer is looking for a clock IC. Could you let me know the recommended device which can meet following requirement? Is the CDCE925 closest device?

・ With VC control function (range is ± 100ppm or more)

・ Clock output is 2ch (or more)

・ The following output frequencies can be output exclusively.

(1) 74.250MHz / 74.17582MHz (switchable)

(2) 48MHz

・ If possible, (1) can be controlled from a general-purpose I/O port with High / Low.

Yes CDCE925 will work. Pin S2, S1 and S0 can select from 8 pre-configured settings:

However, I'm not sure what you mean by "VC control function". Can you elaborate on that?

I checked VC control function mean to the customer. VC means VCXO. CDCE925 has Vctrl-pin. Is the Vctrl able to control the VCXO with more than +/-100ppm?

Hi Yamaguchi-san,

The Vctrl-pin is used to tune the VCXO at the input. Can you check if the customer needs the VCXO for VCO or it is OK that the VCXO serves as input? For CDCE925, since the VCXO is placed at the input, the output frequency can be pulled by +/-150ppm.
