LMK04610: does RESETN equal power-down?

Part Number: LMK04610

Hi!

I have a couple of questions on LMK04610.

1. Does RESETN signal, when asserted, keep the device in the power-down state? (looks like fig. 49 shows it does)

2. Is some time required after the RESETN de-assertion before the SPI programming can start?

Regards,

Victor.

  • Hi Victor,

    1. Yes, the device is held in powerdown state, and the register values are held at the POR values.

    2. Practically, no. It takes more time for a single SPI transaction at maximum bus speed than the time required for the reset condition to clear. And the SPI port is always active on the LMK04610 as long as power is supplied, even in register powerdown or reset state. So if you begin programming the device as soon as the RESETN pin is deasserted, there should be no issues.

    Regards,

  • Thanks a lot for the reply, Derek.

    Best regards,
    Victor.
