CDCE6214-Q1EVM: Voltage swing setting and SSC frequency setting

Hi Team,

We are using TICS Pro + CDCE6214-Q1EVM for testing. And we have some questions.

1. If we set OUT1 = LVDS 150MHz clk and set 25MHz PFD, 0.25%. How should I calculate spread frequency? 

2. When I change output LVDS clk, I saw the swing value is also changed. I see R60[15:12] could set OUT1 swing. Do we have table to describe the relationship between R60[15:12] and voltage swing.

  • Hi Roy,

    The modulation frequency is fixed at around 31.5kHz. The modulation depth can be calculated by output frequency * percentage. In that case, from 150MHz * (1 - 0.25%) to 150MHz * (1 + 0.25%)

    The LVDS swing is already trimmed to have the max swing. Is there a need for higher swing?

    I would like to adjust swing because I think swing range will cause the EMI performance.

    Could you also let me know the Y1 Part number on EVM?
