CDCS502: SSC_SEL0/1 and FS-pin handling

Part Number: CDCS502

Hi team,

The d/s mentions that SSC_SEL0/1 and FS-pin have internal pull-up.

1. When using at a high level, doesn't the customer need to connect an external resistor because there is the internal pull-up?

2. Is it okay to connect directly to GND when setting to Low level? ( Is there a problem with the internal pull-up resistor current? )

Regards,

Yamaguchi

  • Hello Yamaguchi-san,

I will assume that when you say "using at a high level", this means the device will be connected to VDD. If this is the case:

    1. The customer does not need to tie an external resistor to the SSC_SEL0/1 or FS-pins. This can be checked on the Performance EVM - here. The schematics show no connected resistor at these jumper pull-up points - this shows the internal resistor should be working.

    2.  Also shown on the schematic is no resistance (schematic shows 0 ohm resistor) on path to ground. There should be no issue tying the pin to VDD or GND accordingly.
