CDCEL9XXPROGEVM: Driver for Windows 10

Part Number: CDCEL9XXPROGEVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CDCE913-Q1, CLOCKPRO

Hello Team,

Our customer trying to program CDCE913-Q1 by using CDCEL9XXPROGEVM board.

The D2,D3 LED is lighting so the LDO works correctly. But there seems no signal from VDD_SOCKET_CTRL and VDDOUT_SOCKET_CTRL.

So I'm suspecting MSP430 is not working correctly.

Could you let me know how to solve this problem? I also can't see any CD-ROM which mentioned in user's guide. Do you have the software driver for windows10?

Thanks,

Yuta Kurimoto

  • Hello Team,

Customer already referred other E2E thread such as Thread ID: 933911 and Thread ID: 317745. However they can't solve this problem.

    Thanks,

    Yuta Kurimoto

  • Hi Yuta,

I'm afraid that the most reliable instructions are in thread:933911. Can you also try using ProClock ()? This can also be used to program EEPROM.

    Regards,
    Hao

  • Hello Hao,

Yes, Firstly Customer tried to use TI Proclock tool.

However the left-up green circle was not lighted. So Customer noticed that there are something wrong in the EVM. The error message says that the PC can't recognize the hardware device(Error Code:45)

    Thanks,

    Yuta Kurimoto

  • Hello Yuta,

I've done some diving into the past E2E requests on this topic - this seems to come up often. I am thinking this is a driver issue as this is a Windows-7 machine - the device requiring this driver is the umpf3410 device not the MSP430. I unfortunately do not have a Windows-7 system readily available to test. Please see these other threads as they might have a solution to this error:

CDCExxxx Driver Installation Problems - Thread 297897

CDCE(L)9xx Programming EVM S/W - Thread 157030 (Shows ProClock and ClockPro)

Please let me know if these are not helpful and if there has been more things tested.
