LMX2430: Oscillator Buffer/Vcc(8pin)

Part Number: LMX2430

Hi team,

My customer has been using LMX2430(ULGA package) and he is asking some questions about this device.

  1. The oscillator buffer works even if ENOSC pin is set to "L" as long as the EN pin is set to "H".
    Is this understanding correct?
  2. Actual current consumption was larger than expected(1.6mA for 20-pin and 1.0mA for 8-pin).
The customer only uses IF side(RF side is not used) and if he open 8pin, the device works correctly(frequency was locked at desired frequency).
Meanwhile, in case that 20pin is open, the device doesn't work(frequency was not locked).
What part of the circuit is powered by the 8-pin VCC?
The customer assumes VCC of 8-pin powers circuit which are not used at IF.
  3. Is there any way to stop power supply from 8-pin by setting?

Best regards,
