CDCE72010: VCXO_IN Frequencies for LVDS input

Part Number: CDCE72010

Hi,team

please kindly confirm the VCXO_IN Frequencies  for LVDS input CDCE72010 support.

In datesheet, there are 2 statements about  VCXO_IN Frequencies:

page1: VCXO_IN Frequencies up to 1.5GHz (LVPECL) 800MHz for LVDS and 250MHz for LVCMOS Between Primary and Secondary Reference Level Signaling

page8:    VCXO_IN, AUX_IN   fREF - Diff  For differential inputs (LVDS and LVPECL) 1500 MHz

So for LVDS differential inputs, 1500Mhz or 800MHz, which one is correct?

  • Hi Kane,

VCXO_IN input buffer cares the input voltage swing rather than signal format. As long as the input voltage requirement is met and the input frequency is less than 1.5GHz, it does not matter what is the input signal format.
