CDCE913: Clock Pro can't be loaded saved file.

Hello Team,

I got a question from my customer.

The customer tried to load setup file.

However, Clock Pro generated error massage.

The customer operated as below sequence.

1, run Clock pro and set up frequency (fin: 18.432MHz, fout: 24.576MHz).

2, save setup

3, close clock pro.

4, run clock pro as default

5, open setup from saved file

6, below error is appeared.

Could you please advice me how to fix this error?

Hi Yuki,

This error is saying that the 288MHz VCO frequency is out of VCO frequency range. You can use the wizard to calculate the VCO frequency and other parameters. If you want to manually calculate N, P, Q, R, then make sure that the VCO frequency is within the range (80 - 230MHz)

Thank you for reply.

What I want to do is to download from previous set up file not to work wizard.

The customer wants to use same setup condition.

therefore, the customer saved setup file.

however, they couldn't load the saved file.

Could you please advice how to fix this error?

the way is only to input same frequency set up?

Hey Yuki,

I have not seen this error. If you would like to send over customer configuration?

The way I fix an error like this, is through the Direct Reg Views under PLLx Registers there is a calculator icon and this can be used to calculate using the Fvco.

Hello Yuki,

Also, Please note that the input frequency is not set correctly. This must be changed to expected input frequency - the tool is calculating and validating Fvco and will give this error if this is outside of bounds (80 - 230MHz).
