BQ32002: Load capacitance details

Hello,

Can I use a crystal with load capacitance of 9pF for the BQ32002 RTC. In the datasheet under Recommended Operating Conditions, 12 pF nominal is recommended.

    Hello Arun,

    It is always recommended to follow the datasheet specifications for this crystal as internal characterization data is limited on older devices and functionality might be lost or impossible in many cases.

    That being said, a crystal with a load capacitance of 9pF should be functional but might prove to be limited in the range when performing adjustment.
