LMK04828: Sinewave reference

Part Number: LMK04828

1) Can LMK04828 accept single-ended 10MHz sinewave as reference, and what should the nominal drivel level be?

2) Would LMK04828 suffer any damage if an active reference signal is present when the part is powered down?

  • HI Ben

Here are answers to your questions:

    1) Can LMK04828 accept single-ended 10MHz sinewave as reference, and what should the nominal drivel level be?

A: Yes, you can apply Sinewave reference. Please follow the spec in the datasheet for the drive level:

    2) Would LMK04828 suffer any damage if an active reference signal is present when the part is powered down?

A: Device might start drawing power from the input clock because of the diodes in the IO pads, which might start conducting, but I don't the device getting damaged by this.

    Best regards
