Respected sir,

With respect to above diagram we are working on a project, which requires ADC IC.

we have few quires which we would help us proceed, the quires are as follows

1. As shown in the above picture Pin 28 is analog input and pin 27 is the digital input, Is it necessary to give a analog input to the IC to work normally for ADC conversion?

2. If dc voltage(3 -5V) is applied to pin 27,while pin 28 will be in floating state what will be the output in this scenario?

3. If short circuit of Pin 27 and pin 28 with capacitors shown above in the picture, if the DC input is given will the stable output would be obtained?

  • Hello,

    1. Yes, both Pin 27 and Pin 28 have to be powered. These are the power supply pins, and are very important that each is has a power supply provided.

    2. Pin 28 should not be left floating. If this occurs the device will be in violation of the absolute max, the analog input channel should not be at a greater voltage than Vana (pin 28). do not do this.

    3. Pin 27 and pin 28 are the power supply pins, not analog input or digital input. These pins should have stable DC power supply voltages during operation, this will ensure correct operation and provide expected output measurements.
