ADS8685: Increase cut-off frequency

Hello Guys,

Good day.

Our customer is planning to use ADS8685 or ADS8681 ADC but notice that it has LPF with cutoff frequency at 15KHz.

Is there are option  to configure ADC to cancel or increase its cutoff frequency?

Is there any recommended part with cutoff frequency >30KHz ?

    Hi Art,

    Unfortunately, the internal LPF on ADS8681 or ADS8685 can not be bypassed or also no option to increase the BW. The LPF on these devices was designed to filter noise from the front-end circuity to maintain good performance. 

    If the customer has multiple input channels, ADS8686S is a good option with similar front-end but 376kHz BW.

    Another option is using an ADC without LPF and AFE, however an external amplifier is usually required to drive the ADC.
