ADC12DJ2700: Is ADC12DJ3600 directly replaceable with ADC12DJ2700?

Good day.

Our customer is using the ADC12DJ3600 and they have an inquiry for this. Kindly refer below.

""We use the ADC12DJ3600 in some of our products today, however we only sample at 4.8 GSPS. Is it possible to directly replace it with the ADC12DJ2700? Packaging and pin-wise they are the same, and the performance of them both are good enough for us. Are the registers/programming settings identical as well?""

Hi Cedrick,

There seems to be a typo. Do you mean ADC12DJ3200 and not ADC12DJ3600?

If you were referring ADC12DJ3200 than answer is yes. ADC12DJ3200 is pin to pin compatible with ADC12DJ2700 and can be used as a direct replacement.

I'm wondering about programming registers and functions etc... Our customer use an FPGA to program the ADC - will they have to adjust any code or similar in order to have the same functionality, or is the maximum sampling speed the _ONLY_ difference?
