Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS1248
Hi,
We're considering using the ADS1246 for a new product design for a customer. Is this device still recommended for new designs - is it nearing end of life?
Thanks.

Hi Barry,
Yes, the ADS1246 is still recommended for new designs.

Thanks Bryan. The reason I asked was that the evaluation kit for the ADS1246 is marked end of life on Mouser, and obsolete on Digikey. See

Is the evaluation kit for the ADS1246 still available?
Regards
Barry
Hi Barry
The ADS1246 EVM has been obsoleted for other reasons unrelated to product longevity. This EVM is no longer available.
A new EVM for the ADS1248 (the superset device for the ADS1246) is currently being developed now however, reinforcing our commitment to this device family. Unfortunately, there will not be a dedicated ADS1246 EVM, only an ADS1248 EVM. I would expect the new version of the EVM to be available in the next few months.
