AFE5818: operating temperature of AFE5818

Sorry for delayed response. The 1.5A current is the total current drawn by the EVM board where it includes (AFE power + LMK power + On board LDO's power). So 1.5A is expected to be drawn by board. When you say temperature is very high, do you have any quantifiable measurement ?

Thank you for your reply. I don’t have a device to measure the temperature of the chip, but when my finger touches it, I feel the unbearable high temperature of the finger. According to experience, this temperature is too high for the chip.  Is there a problem with mydevice or is this phenomenon normal for the AFE5818, will it affect the performance of the chip when it is operated at this temperature for a long time?

One possible reason for unbearable temperature is that device could have incurred any ESD damage in between. Were you able to capture the data using the EVM ? If yes, does basic performance metrics like Gain, SNR, HD are being met by device (across all channels) ?

Our TSW1400EVM is temporarily unavailable, so there is no way to measure SNR and other parameters.  But I used DS18B20 to test the surface temperature of AFE5818. After power-on, the 18B20 display temperature reached 60℃. Can you tell me the working temperature and power range of AFE5818 chip after power-on is normal?
