DAC7750: Current of Iout pin shooting upto 100mA when given any command to set current.

Part Number: DAC7750

I Have connected AVDD to 10Volts. And digital pins are connected to ESP32 which works at 3.3V digital levels. In the program, whatever value I set to DAC, the current suddenly shoots to 100mA and IC gets hot. If there is no command given to DAC7750 for setting current, the current remains at 0mA.

  • Lakshay,

Do you have a schematic that you could share? It might be helpful to see the schematic to help debug any issues.

Also, is there a chance that the device has been damaged? It seems that you're able to communicate with the device. However enabling the device and then having the current go up this high, damage to the device does seem like a possibility. If you have another device available, you could try to replace the device in your board.
