Part Number: ADS114S06B
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS114S06

Hi expert,

1. Please help review schematic of ADS114S06B.

2. Could I directly use this schematic for ADS114S06?

Regards and thanks.

  • Hi Jiandong,

The top of the schematic is clipped but I will assume that the connection is to AGND.  It is not necessary to connect all of the caps on to the reference inputs if the external reference(s) are not used.  In fact analog inputs that are not connected can be left floating.  See the section 10.1.5 of the datasheet for Unused Inputs and Outputs.

I would not recommend using a ferrite or any inductance on the power input pins.  These devices may choke required startup current or required current while turning on internal devices such as the IDACs or reference.

The ADS114S06 can be a replacement for the ADS114S06B.  The 'B' version has lesser options and settings.  So the ADS114S06 can replace the 'B' version but the 'B' version is not a direct equivalent to the non-B version.

    Best regards,
