AMC1303E0510: Isolated Voltage Sensing R3 specs

Part Number: AMC1303E0510
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AMC1302

Hello Team,

We are checking the datasheet of the device and in Section 9.2.2  Isolated Voltage Sensing the specs do not state R4/R5 values for AMC1303E0510 but only for AMC1303E25. Can you help us to find the find R4/R5 values for the AMC1303x05 version (50mV input) versus 250mV?

Regards,

Renan

  • Hi Renan,

    R4 = 2.5k and R5 = 50k. Additional detail can be seen in the AMC1302 datasheet:

    This cookbook circuit also goes into detail about voltage sensing with low input impedance devices: https://www.ti.com/lit/an/sbaa350/sbaa350.pdf

    Our AMC Voltage Sensing Calculator can be used to help with sense resistor sizing:https://www.ti.com/lit/zip/sbar013

    Note that the AMC1303x device will not be shown in the calculator since it is a modulator instead of an amplifier and the accuracy is ultimately set by the digital filter. However the shunt sizing calculation should be identical to the AMC1302 for the 50mV input and the AMC1300B for the 250mV input.

    Please let me know if you have any questions.
