DDC264EVM: Communication with linux system

Part Number: DDC264EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DDC264,

Hi we recently purchased the evaluation board and it's been working well. We were wondering if there are low-level libraries available for accessing the fgpa using a linux system. We don't need the GUI, etc. just to be able to make measurements.

Thanks!

-Michael

  • Hi Michael,

Welcome to the E2E forum !!!

Unfortunately, we do not have any Linux driver to interface to FPGA on the DDC264 EVM. Thanks for the interest in the device, and good to hear it is working well for you.

    Thanks

  • Thanks TC for the welcome and fast reply! Would you be able to inform me how the communication to FGPA happens? As in, what’s the protocol? Looking at a few of the past posts for similar requests of custom communication to the DDC264EVM, I came across documentations for using the packaged DLL code. Is it possible to share the lower level protocol for reading / writing from the FPGA?

Regardless, ultimately, we’re looking to integrate DDC264 chips with the rest of our setup. Is there someone who we can work with towards that?

    Thanks again!

  • Hi Michael,

We will reach out to you for further discussion. Thanks.

    Thanks

  • Looking forward to hearing from you soon. Thanks!

  • Hi TC,

As we're waiting to hear back regarding this particular problem, would it be possible for us to reach out to someone at TI with whom we can have a chat regarding solutions for integrable current-input ADC. If it is too difficult with the DDC264, we're happy to explore other solutions.

Thanks again for your help so far.

    Michael
