ADS1230: Sample code

Part Number: ADS1230

Hello Team,

My customer wanted to have a copy of the sample code discussed in these threads below, it seems the file is transferred or deleted.

Can you share with us any sample code for this device?

Regards,

Renan

  • Hi Renan,

Unfortunately this code was very old and did not conform to current TI standards.  It also used a very old tool set that was textual/console based as opposed to a graphical IDE.  The bottom line is that it is no longer available.  We hope to have a newer version of example code late this year or early next.

We have not placed a high priority on the example code update because of the simplicity of use for the device.  The ADS1230 itself is a pin controlled ADC so there are no registers to set.  Communication is read only so if SCLKs are transmitted, data comes out.

Usually any confusion is in how to initiate the SCLKs from the controller.  Even though there is no data input pin you would still initiate the clocks by sending a dummy bytes to the micro TX buffer.

If there are specific questions on operation I would be glad to assist.

    Best regards,

    Bob B
